So one of my favorite things to do the first week of Baseball is to see all the new faces on their new teams making an impact. The first player didn’t come as a surprise to me but Christian Yelich has been absolutely killing it for the Brewers. He has a total of 10 hits and 5 RBI’s all in the first week !! This next player came as a surprise to me but Brandon Drury has been doing exceptionally well this first week . When you are playing alongside guys like Stanton, Judge, and Sanchez it is rather tough to stand out but Drury has 4 RBI’s and a home run in this opening week and looks rather promising. The Yankees acquired Drury in the off season from the Arizona Diamondbacks and wow has he been an addition to an already stacked Yankees team. The last player that has surprised me is Shohei Ohtani. His spring training left a lot of people scratching their heads and wondering “Is this guy really worth the hype”. Well Ohtani certainly didn’t disappoint this opening week with a win and two home runs already under his belt. His whole aspect of hitting while also pitching in the Angels rotation is so intriguing to me and I’m excited to see what the rest of the season entails for him. Happy First week of Baseball everybody !!! 🙂
