Mookie Betts is officially a Dodger ! I clearly recall a time of dissapointment when the Dodgers didn’t sign players like Bryce Harper, Gerrit Cole, Nolan Arenado, Anthony Rendon, and Francisco Lindor and now it all makes sense. Mookie’s contract of 12 years $365 million is now the longest contract in franchise history. It is also the biggest contract in total value surpassing Clayton Kershaw’s $215 million contract. Mookie who currently holds four gold gloves and an AL MVP award (2018) will be a great addition to this young Dodgers roster. National League MVP Cody Bellinger is due to hit free agency after 2023 and starter Walker Buehler the following 2024 season. 2020 hasn’t been the most ideal year for everyone but I truly feel like Baseball is here to save it.
